Starting Point · Starý Smokovec

Starý Smokovec is the oldest tourist and recreational settlement in the Tatras, on the slopes of Slavkovský peak, and an important gateway to the central part of the High Tatras. Thanks to its excellent location, Privát Iva is a great starting point for hikes into the Malá and Veľká Studená Valleys, to Slavkovský peak, Hrebienok, the Studený Potok Waterfalls, Skalnaté Pleso, Sliezsky dom, and the Zamkovského, Téryho and Zbojnícka mountain huts. There are plenty of attractions, cultural landmarks, cycling routes and opportunities for cross-country and downhill skiing both nearby and further afield. We'll be happy to give you more information in person.
